Transparency International Data Shows Obasanjo and Buhari Government Had lower Corruption Perception Index Than Jonathan
Recent Transparency International Data just unearthed suggests strongly that the Military Government of General Muhammadu Buhari and the Civillian Government of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo scored much lower in the Transparency International Corruption Perception index contrary to assertions made in Former President Obasanjo's recent book "My Watch"
The Transparency International infograph catalogued Corruption perception index from 1979 up until the present Government and how they compare in ratings,with a zero for very corrupt,50 for central point and 100 for very clean.The graph outlines that in a score for reducing corruption Obasanjo's 1st Term between 1999-2003 scored 13.3, suprisingly lower than the much pillored Abacha Government.In his 2nd and last term ending in 2007,his score was an improvement up 5.3 marks to 18.6. now only 0.5 points above the late General Abacha's Junta.
The Government of General Muhammadu Buhari during his own tenure as Head of State had only 18 points,slightly lower than General Abacha.
The Yar Adua/Goodluck Jonathan Government in its first joint term scored a 24.7 mark,a clear 6.1 marks above Obasanjo Government's highest score,During his1st term tenure ending in May 29 2015(about3 months plus from now) Goodluck Jonathan has already garnered a score of 26, the highest of all the Nigerian Presidents and Head of States under review.
