Senior officer in Cameroon Armed forces killed by Boko Haram
Boko Haram insurgents struck again a few days ago this time in Cameroon with the death of Captain Robert Djinebo of the Cameroon armed forces who was killed on Saturday October 17, 2015 at Wambeche in the Far North region following clashes between a regiment under his control and the insurgents. The deceased captain who was 34 years old, was the commander of a section of the Rapid Intervention Battalion that was dispatched to provide security in Wambeche.
He won the admiration of the Cameroon military hierarchy with several daring feats he is reported to have excelled himself in,according to Cameroon press during the Bakassi peninsula crisis,he and late pal Captain Elvis Matute Mbène, who died seven months ago were handed special responsibilities in the Far North region.
