A reinvigorated and motivated Nigerian armed forces are on a final putsch to liberate the last 2 areas being inhibited by Boko Haram insurgents on Nigerian soil. This developement follows the barrage of aerial bombardment that has been carried out on Boko Haram insurgents in Bama the last couple of days.According to information from those involved in the battle, the ground troops have already moved in and are currently engaging the severally demoralised Boko Haram insurgents, even though they have intelligence through sources that Boko Haram have planted land mines around their position to slow Nigerian armed forces advance.

An unconfirmed source later reported that the Nigerian Army have liberated Bama which brought jubilation amongst the soldiers stationed at the command headquarters in Maimalari Barracks, HQ of the 7th Batallion in Maiduguri. The unnamed source asserted that the battle that led to the liberation was led by the General officer commanding the division Lamidi Adeosun.According to the informant, the GOC has vowed to do everything to make sure Boko Haram does not occupy a single parcel of land on Nigerian soil by expiration of the 6 weeks deadline.

Speaking on condition of anonymity the unnamed source asserted The general did not even use our crack boys in Konduga. He just took his team from our supply of new boys here and drove straight into Bama on Monday, leaving the Konduga guys to rest   till we took over Bama, chased the bad people out,   removed their flag and installed our authority.”

The Nigerian armed forces spokes person Genenral Olukolade who led some independent observers and a foreign media correspondent to the frontline for them to assess and clarify some of the fallacies and false news reportage is yet to release an official statement regarding Bama's liberation.

It will be recalled that an intelligence source had reported the Nigerian troops engaging Boko Haram insurgents in Gwoza on Sunday had subdued them and taken over the area.Same individual also confirmed, reiterating that contrary to the false reportage in recent times only Nigerian troops are presently contending against Boko Haram in Bama.
