He was reserved and hated everything Boko Haram stood for-friend of Ibrahim Uwais

In the aftermath of the shocking news about Ibrahim son of former Chief Justice Mohammed Uwais joining the dreaded Daesh also known as ISIS,more reactions have ensued both giving a clearer insight regarding some of the actions and what a friend of his says about him.According to an unnamed family source the 41yrs old Ibrahim had summoned his two wives, the elder heading a private school in Abuja while the younger worked in a Federal Government parastatal and informed them of his decision to join ISIS giving them the option of returning to their parent's houses if they so wish but both of them had expressed a resolve to go with him.

The source disclosed that the visibly distraught former Chief Justice Uwais immediately reached out to security agencies and the Turkish Embassy,as soon as he learnt of his son's action. The Turkish embassy broke the devastating news to him that both his son, with the wives and his grand shildren have most likely ended up in Syria.According to same source "The embassy confirmed it issued visas,to the man and members of his family details of his arrival in Turkey were made available while images of CCTV recordings were also said to have been analysed by the Turkish security agencies to establish their movement"they affirm.

According to a family member and close confidant of Ibrahim,he was a most unlikely individual to have taken such a radical step considering his well documented and consistent views regarding the carnage done by Boko Haram in the name of Islam.Speaking "He hated everything Boko Haram stood for and often, queried why they would be killing innocent women and children in the name of islam" The family source concluded by surmising that with the benefit of hindsight,he was propably espousing these views as a way of covering up his real plans,as he knew those around him would never have welcomed or supported the extreme fundamentalist views ISIS represent.

Ibrahim was described as a reserved and committed muslim, who had left the educational establishment while in his 20s to go into full time entrepreneurship.Judging by the testimonies of people around him,he was sucessful and was well liked by those around him.

His father who had suffered an armed robbery attack just a few days prior to this news,is still trying to come to terms with the whole situation, while friends and acquintances have been calling and visiting to comfort him in this difficult time.
