Boko Haram remote activated bomb kills two Niger soldiers
According to a report from the Reuters news agency a remotely activated bomb has killed two Nigerien soldiers on active combant.According to the report from the Niger Military the bomb had been planted by Boko Haram insurgents during the heavy fighting going on in Differ Region of Southeastern Niger wounding a third soldier presently undergoing treatment.
A Nigerien officer speaking narrated "We had two soldiers killed on wednesday in a remote controlled explosion.we took up the chase and killed the two main militants responsible for the attck near a bridge over the Kamadougou river"
According to military watchers this is the first incident of Boko Haram using a remotely detonated explosive which they urge must be swiftly and decisively nipped in the bud before it takes on worrying dimensions.
