25 killed by Boko Haram in Borno,gunmen attack voters in Yobe and Gombe
As the Presidential and Parliamentary elections continue in different parts of the country extending till today the 29th March,Reuters news confirm death of 25 Borno indigenes at the hands of some Boko Haram islamist insurgents.According to available news the incident which occured in one of the remote North Eastern villages of Buratai has been confirmed by the Governor himself.Speaking "I received a report that 25 people have been killed at Buratai town and five people injured. My Commissioner of Education participated in the burial of those killed," Kashim Shettima told journalists after voting.
In other news Boko Haram insurgents also launched two attacks on indigenes of Ngalda town in Yobe state and a village called Woru in Gombe state.In the sudden attack which killed 6 people in both incidents,some gunmen had opened fire with assault weapons on voters on the way to their Polling Units to cast their votes,3 people were killed in each of the incident.
